Yesterday, NVIDIA announced it's first Windows 8's driver for NVIDIA GeForce and Quadro GPUs.
Compared to it's arch rival, AMD, this announcement is two weeks late. AMD released their Windows 8's driver on the same day as Windows 8 Consumer Preview release.
The new NVIDIA 296.17 drivers provide full support for the latest Windows Display Driver Model (WDDM) specification, v1.2. Some of the highlights of the WDDM v1.2 features: native Stereo 3D support for full-screen and windowed gaming, a Unified Video API, optimized screen rotation, improved sleep/resume performance, and optimized power consumption.
